So today is my Saturday and after a hearty pub lunch, now back home in the garden with a bottle of old empire and an 08 H Upmann Sir Winston.

Sun is shining but still a chill in the air so I have a nice fire on the go too

Had a Romeo No.3, a rogue one from the depths of my desktop. Suspect it's one I brought back from Cuba in 2010. Much better than I remember, light, floral and balanced!

I really need to try some more Upmanns.

Went through 5 Connie 1's and they were terrific. Think I'll grab a couple on my next order

I find the Upmanns are mild, but with age they do get stronger and the flavours develop well, but it's not really a brand i can get with, but i do keep trying...
I find the draw on many vitola is tight and if it's slightly too humid then forget about it. Most definitely a brand that needs more dry boxing....

Thanks for the heads up

Going through a bit of a "wimp" stage recently, whereby any full strength sticks seem to be giving me horrendous heart burn.

Sticking with milder, lighter smokes with nothing more than coffee or a glass of wine for now. Maybe a few young Upmann's could be worth a go
