Great cigar day, smoked a 2005 R&J Belicosos at a cigar meet-up with new friends in the City. Not much going on, I think these are better younger, there is not enough ooomph to appreciate with age.
Then onto the new terrace at the Wellesley where I ran into many friends old and new. I enjoyed one of the brand new Vegeuros which a friend brought back from the festival. A robusto size, still trying to pin down the exact details. Great construction, very light and fresh. I think I would enjoy these if they do come to the UK.
I was also given a beautiful aged Trinidad Robusto T by Mitch who was sitting around the corner. I'm looking forward to tucking into that after my lunch.
Had a Bolivar Churchill Tubo (treat from the boss) with a few of the boss' friends. A great cigar, still amazed by the strength. It had been aged for at least 10 years (box got lost somewhere in vastness of the boss' collection) and still had loads of spice and leather plus a new taste to me which I was told is an 'aged tobacco taste' whatever it was it was great!
