your partly right though PeeJ. I'm going to have a crack at recycling precious metals and see if I can make some half ok jewellery.
Also i want to have a crack at casting metal so I figure aluminium cans are everywhere and free and their melting point is well within furnace temperatures.

True i have piles of the stuff, unfortunately the process to get the gold out is highly toxic and involves very nasty acid.
