Back to KL tomorrow so enjoying hopefully my last ever night in Batam (it's not a nice place, unless you like prostitutes and oil and gas workers)
Had a nice beef teriyaki followed by a Rocky Patel Vintage 1992 Sumatra with. Bacardi Gold and Coke. Everything has gone really well together.
Stick has some interesting notes, sweet spice at the start but leaves a strong espresso taste on the tongue and lips. Developed a bit more woody and earthy now I think.
This is the second RP that has unraveled on me though, is this a common problem with them?

It's not a looked for taste, but one which bedevils Cuban cigars occasionally. We're not really sure what causes it, but it comes and goes and can occur in any vitola. I've not experienced it in a NC.
