My first Oliva serie v melanio ....nicely box pressed. Rich, chocolatey with a herby under note with light hints of sweet and spice. Sweet taste on the lips too. So far I can see why people love them. Buckets of smoke. All good!
On a break in Cornwall.... visited Nat Trust place Trelissick and they were doing basic pottery for kids in the garden... so I moulded a crude cigar rest!!!!

This very fine German RE made up for a terrible Hoyo du Roi that was binned only halfway through.

Interested in your thoughts on the '66 Wolfie. Is it a definite special occasion smoke ?

                  RDBM , Tony N .
for me it was an enjoyable smoke , not a stellar smoke , something new to try on " my special occasion "
earth , dry earth , coffee , cocoa , chocolate and a touch of leather
                  a lovely aroma
                  all dark flavours and aromas
burn was off and had to be corrected a couple of times
it doesn't have the Cuban twang , that creamy grassiness that maybe you expect from Cohiba and i prefer
it reminded me at times of a fresh CCE , with the same dark flavours and aromas
comparing it ( which i shouldn't ) to the 2010 siglo vi i recently smoked , the siglo vi wins hands down
so 1966 , nice cigar , but i wouldn't rush out to buy another , even at the original price ( paid )
i would go aged siglo vi for that special occasion .

First evening in Tenerife and it's a Monte 4 with a Caf? Barraquito. Bloody iPad won't upload photos so stuck with small ones I'm afraid.

eye watering price now Tony , my Mrs bought on release , around a third of the price .
its down to the old supply and demand and its a EL
i suspect the EL 2014,s will go the same way
as of course are the BHK ,s
i guess the smart people have stocked up with a few boxes for future pleasure , and who can blame them .

Would agree with what you said about an aged siglo VI or any other aged cigar compared to a limited edition cigar.
