Today I'm finally going to smoke a cigar that I've been keeping as a memento of sorts. I've kept it for so long that the wrapper has started to suffer so today is the day!

This was a gift from Monkey at the Mill Hill Golf Club Dinner 2015. Kind thanks Monkey.





It's a good start. Might be quite punchy this one. Very dark.

A custom Roll from Monkey yes. It's no a Johnny No[emoji23] it's by J Carlos 2011. The band said cazador but I think that's a mistake and should read Canonazo. Cazador is more like a Monsdale..?



It smoked well, caramel and nuts (or praline if you will), Cocao, leather and mineral/soil too. Some nice changes and perfect burn. Despite the damage from being in a singles humidor for a year.



Then after a fairly easy tree felling I turned to another gifted cigar from Mo, this one an H Upmann Connie A.



This was all cedar and berries. A lovely smoke.

Praise the lord, Tommy! I prayed it wasn't a Johnny No. I've tried one that don TJ had on the bottom shelf of his humidor and in the words of a few around here, I found it to be rather...."meh."

Maybe a true believer will send me a few to sample. Maybe not.
