I'm way behind were I should be on this thread, it's taken me a month to register! Been following for a while, started smoking cigars last august when I got married, I've learnt so much, still a beginner though, so I will post my first pic and cigar.

I take pictures of everything I smoke, so I can remember them. Currently love my padron 2000 as a regular cigar, dark chocolatey taste, to start with also coffee notes hints half way through. A nice slow burner lovely, usually have it with some brandy.

Some nice Havana's there G.P., I am not qualified to comment of the others. Taking photos of each cigar you smoke, quaint idea, must try that myself; I would however suggest making a few notes as well. You can remember 10 or even 50 different cigars but when you have tried over 100, you'll appreciate that you wrote a few things down.

Started cigars straight after getting married? Love it; how did your bride come to terms with that? My wife didn't know I smoked until my Stag night when someone reported to her, that I was smoking a big cigar & drinking port. Tthe subject had never come up before & in those days I only had a few a year so no big deal. Little did she know when she bought my first Humi (50stick) as a wedding anniversary pressie a few yrs later, that one day my humi would become the Boli' Cave & now there's a whole room given over to my collection (it is a very small room). When we get married we realise our spouses will age & change but obviously we never foresee anything really drastic. I certainly wouldn't have been happy if she had gone from non-smoker to smoking 20fags a day. Shame she hates the smell of a fine Havana though but at least I know they'll all be there when I get home.

Sadly I was referring to outside, not many get to smoke in their own houses these day over this side of the pond BB. My wife has had migraines when I have been smoking outside with our friends (who also smoke my cigars), she tries to be sociable but has to go in. When we are on our own of course she won't usually join me outside, unless there's a fair breeze.

Anyway, you're a scholar and a gentleman, se?or Simon. IF you are ever on this side of the pond, come on down mexicant way and we'll fill the hacienda SoM with clouds and clouds of fine puro smoke...and only go outside when we need a break!
