I found the pipe I tried disappointing, I probably need lessons on how to pack it properly as I found myself yearning for the pull of a cigar so when it went out I opted for a Private Stock #4 in my few hours before work.

I find this too; the sensation is supposed to be like sucking water through a straw. Any less or any more resistance supposedly points to incorrect packing. Although my pipes generally stay lit, I would say the draw is more akin to 'empty straw', which just doesn't feel satisfying!
