They had a few singles that weren't to humidified of the Punch LE at the store yesterday so I grabbed one to see (or rather taste) what all the hype is about.

    Nice RG for a LE.

The best laid plans of mice and men eh? Today is our anniversary and we went to a lovely pub by the River Wey for lunch where I planned to smoke my single Talisman as it's a special occasion. I even took a PL Montecarlo in case I didn't have time but the weather wasn't having it, it was overcast, chilly and windy. When we got back it didn't seem the same smoking it in the cabin so I dug out this EP Carillo from my recent sampler and I'm pleased to say it was delicious, everything a maduro should be.

Heard nothing but good on this LE, and it?s been a while since I have been tempted by an LE range...

                  Hmmm

It was an interesting smoke. I find the wrapper similar to that of the RA LE 2015, rather thick and between Maduro and Oscuro, in some instances the wrapper has both shades or some dark spots on it.

I have checked a few boxes and nearly all of them were very humid, even wet in some instances. Probably a bad batch but I have read a few times that others encountered the same problem with this cigar. The one I smoked was not too humid.

It smoked surprisingly well for such a young cigar but I don't have the boxing date due the the health sticker. No amonia at all. I got some cedar, wood and a slight sweetness from the cigar. A few puffs tasted a hint like peanuts or some other nuts on the retrohale which wasn't to agressive for a young cigar.

I encountered some very light tunneling after the first half, as the reviewer on half wheel did. He must have some stellar taste buds though since he got way more flavours than me, lol.

All in all it was a nice medium bodied cigar and I will definitely smoke another one soon. I didn't dry box this one but will do so with the next one.

I think that it's a box worthy cigar and will go for a box if I can find one at a decent price.

Smoking my last VR famosos from a stellar box paired with some cheap German pilsner which is going down very nicely to be honest.
