Haha no way! Did you see how much the two boxes went for in the latest Cgars auction?
That was nuts. They go on FB groups for around ?400ish but they were over ?600 on CGars weren't they?
The Cohiba 1966s went for around ?1500...pro-rata they're now more expensive than Cohiba Sublimes ...yikes!

Hammer price was almost ?600 yeah. With fees it would have been well over, crazy. For ?400 I’d rather have a box of fundis.

No, but I just read it on here. Crazy. But sometimes those auctions don't really reflect market prices. You only need two guys with deep pockets who don't know or don't care about FMV bidding on the same box of cigars and prices can go crazy. You will probably see guys trying to sell a box of these at that auctions hammer price on FB soon and they probably won't sell.
I have been buying and selling vintage comic books and art at auction and on forums for two decades (privately, not for the store) and have witnessed the same patterns over and over again. Both markets are very close IMO. One thing that I have learned is what I said above.
But in most cases FMV will move up to realized auction prices in the following 12 to 24 months.
On the other hand one thing is pretty sure now, I will probably nevr smoke a Boli GM since I'm not paying ?40 to ?60 for that cigar.

i wonder about the Talksman in 5 years.
I don't believe that the Talisman will ever reach such levels. Collectors are aware of prices realized for hard to find cigars nowadays and stock up on limited releases such as the Talisman in the hopes of flipping them at a 300% or plus markup. But the Talisman won't be hard to find since everyone has 2 or more boxes stashed away for future flipping.
Unless it turns out to be a stellar cigar of course.
