Hoyo Elegantes from ?16. Not the biggest fan but smoking them seems to be the only way that I can get rid of them.

And here we go again, crapatalk won?t let me upload my pic.

A rare NC day for me, I?ve been looking forward to trying this for a while being a very well reviewed cigar in a size I love. This was very kindly gifted to me by thedame007 after I missed out on a split.

      Thanks Greg.

Set fire to another Secret Santa gift today - a Partagas Series No.1 EL 2017. I don?t think this was that well received vs. the Talisman from what I?ve read. I?ve not had a talisman however I cant see how it would be significantly better than this. This is very smooth, burn and draw excellent and happens to be a Partagas which is up there with my favourite marcas.

The beauty of differing tastes and opinions I suppose and the beauty of this wonderful hobby!

So far so good, I’m about half way through. Once the cellophane came off the smell hit me straight away, the wrapper is very smooth and the roll feels perfect (as you’d expect with the NC quality control). Flavours are good so far but I’m looking for a bit more to take it up a level, I’m just noticing some sweetness which wasn’t present in the first third, I’m hoping it is the start of a transition and some added complexity. This doesn’t taste Cuban (not that it should) but it also doesn’t seem like a NC either, this is quite unique flavour that I can’t quite nail down yet, the best description I could give right now is sherry cask wooden barrels.

I’m enjoying it and would certainly be in for more.

A CAO today, small so thought I?d do whilst ragging the dogs and have another later!

Not a fan..... the wrapper was sugar coated!? Smoke was bland, taste in the mouth was like drinking a shot of used bong water. [emoji856]. NEXT [emoji16]

Been quite hesitant about smoking recently ,but a combination of a mornings hard work painting the decking , glorious weather and a couple of ice cold beers have convinced me it?s a day to do it. Thought I would give a go to a RASCC from Mar 16. Really enjoy these sticks, haven?t had one in a while and thought the time was right to give another a go. Really enjoying it and confirmed to me that I was right to pull the trigger on another box from from down under when the opportunity presented itself the other day.
