I'm boring myself as I write this, but we use flipper for our gas/electric, they automatically switch you between whoever has the best deal, they charge ?25/year and guarantee to save you more. You just have to send your readings periodically.
The smart meter we had installed when we were with British Gas has been rendered useless since we started using Flipper, but there's still some life in the knees yet! so it's not the end of the world.
