Where I am the weather is nice. Sunny and blue skies. Hopefully I can kick this cold before the weather turns gloomy and rainy for the rest of the year.

Decided against the Epi no2 and went for the Ramon Allones Robusto instead. I'll write an epic poem if I start up about this. It is a divine smoke.

Decided to let it go to sleep and carry on after our gig.
Is this a habit to be frowned on, brothers?
I know it alters the taste when you light up a good stogie later, but to be honest I find I'm back on the initial track very quickly when I re-light not too long afterwards.
In any case, I'm running late for our gig so there's no option.

                    Cheers, Monte.
It's a private function in a beautiful house in Sandwich tonight.
                    Pretty swish one.
                    Just going.

Sunny day up North too today, though spent it mostly in the car driving daughter down to Knaresborough (N. Yorks).

When I got home, despite it starting to threaten rain, I lit up my Georges Reserve Robusto, courtesy of Rokkitsci and Monte...I'll pop a brief review in the "Proposition" thread. Not had a proper cigar for a couple of weeks now, 'coz of the cold, and must admit felt a bit dizzy afterwards...

Don't think I'd come anywhere near keeping up with you herf boys!!

                            Re-lighting a cigar

                            Bryan,

Here's what I've found; if you let a cigar go out (some enthusiasts agree that you never ever stamp out a cigar in an ashtray, but rather you let it casually extinguish itself) and have to re-light it later on you can do it without losing much of the taste quality. First knock off all remaining ash and lightly blow through the cigar to get rid of any leftover ash which causes a bad taste when re-lit. Toast the wrapper edges around the foot of the cigar and then light the filler while puffing on it.

I know- I'm a loser. But he asked about it so I thought I'd post my thoughts. Sorry if I sound like a cigar nerd.
