    hello all
since i'm only off shift and technically we're into an new day, i'm reporting back on my newly aquired RyJ short churchills, recieved today in the post thanks to our sponsor!

a box of 10 short churchills, a small compensation for my recent loss thanks to my son (grrrrr)! box dated feb 09! the cigars contained inside are a shade lighter than my surviving short churchills (from 07), but look & smell heavenly! i singled out the 'ugly duckling' of the bunch to execute, a right veiny looking 'basterd' with a particularly ugly cap! never one to judge a book by it's cover and never that particular, i burned it up! to be honest, this was probably one of the best short churchills i've ever had! perfect burn and very, very flavoursome! the first third wasn't much to bum n' blow about, then it came into it's own!!!! from here on it was pure bliss!!! i busted open a bottle of frontera cabernet sauvignon (i'm off till saturday), they coupled perfectly! i'd easily rate this cigar around a 92!!! a perfect reason to have at least a small supply of these in your humidor if, like me, you're particular to to this size (the PSD4 and bolivar RC are better cigars, but these slay on value for money)!

    f**king awesome!!!!

    all the best,

    alex

It was my friends birthday a few days back, but we were both working; as we're both shift workers (last day on shift was yesterday!) we're going out drinking tonight and he's going to have one of my Siglo Vs (although he doesn't know it!). Will probably have another cigar tonight as well, I'm thinking Partagas or Romeo y Julieta... I'm not sure what I have in the humidor; it's ages since I last looked!

I?m just on the first third of a Por Larranaga Petit Corona, BD 07.
Unfortunately the PC is not as sweet as i expected, other than the last ones.
Never mind. I?m looking forward to the next third

RA SCC .... took it into the garden to inspect the frost damage to my plants now that the snow's mostly cleared. A little resistant in the draw but a nice sweet start and which it held all the way to the band getting only slightly dryer and stronger around the band. Smoked this one till there was almost nothing left to hold on to. Excellent cigar.

Sneaked in a Nub on the way back from dropping the kids at school. Had to finish it off in the garage while watching the snow come down again.

2 new inches of snow on the ground so I made a retreat to the shed with a 5 Vegas Miami Knuckle and a cup of Earl Grey. It's a tuna can of a cigar (4.5" x 60) with strong earth and leather notes and a nice spice to boot!

An 07 PLPC in the snow, started off with some of those sweet toffee, vanilla type tones and finished with a bit of a punch. lovely smoke.
