Harsh but fair I guess! Hope this was just a bad one, since I have two sitting in my humidor .

Saturday I bought a copy of ECCJ (no.3 2009) from my local shop and was shocked to see they had rated the D4 as high as the Open Junior. Had to light up a D4 to check my sanity... yep I am OK but the guys at ECCJ are smoking something else apart cigars if they give these ratings.

Just got in the bath, shaved my head and the phone goes, so had to drive back to work. Had a Cohiba maduro Genio on the way there and back and smoked that bastard till it burnt my nose

Dave is it the Maduro or the Corojo? I had the Maduro before and IMO it is an OK smoke but not one to write home about.

At the risk of sounding like a fool, I don't know! I think it was one of the Corojo. It did end up surprising me as it improved. Having read your review, mine was pretty much the same but without the maduro tinge to the flavour. That said, I've only smoked a few maduro wrapped sticks so may not be able to discern it as well.

evening all,
down to my last couple of single robustos i bought from cuban lou's before xmas! after my disappointing JL2 the other night, this evening i fired up my vegas robaina famosos! bloody fantastic cigar.........paired up nicely with a pint of guinness and a couple of orio biscuits! i'll be looking to get a box of these in the next couple of months for sure! just got the RASS to go......... i'm expecting good things with it!!!

so far, aside from my trusty PSD4's, cohiba robustos, short churchills, petite edmundos and epi 2's, the VR famosos has impressed me enough to consider making a space for them! problem is though, i only have a 75ct humidor and am limited to buying 10's or 15's! hardly a problem since i only indulge once or twice a week........
