A mate gifted me a Cohiba Esplendido that he in turn had been gifted. Wrapped in tin foil (to keep it `fresh'), it was in as poor a condition as I've ever seen a stick - wrapper had completely flaked off for a start. After 3 months of recovery work, smoked it today - had my doubts about its authenticity, but wow, what a smoke. Creamy and strong, Cohiba grassiness, lovely

Sorry to hear about that particular batch. Can anything physically be done to these sticks to solve the problem?
