I smoked the Connecticut Nub today. I was expecting this one to be a bit bland as this wrapper can sometimes be but it was mild and full of flavour. If you like HdM and Upmanns and fancy dipping your toe in the hazardous waters of NCs then this won't disappoint.

I've actually been quite curious about the Nub Connecticut. I'll have to give them a try now 😉👍🏻

2014 Selectors under cover from the weather. Feels like we're in the tropics so wet and humid.

First Upmann Half Corona I’ve had and thoroughly enjoyed it despite the grim weather.

Nice Ash, I like NCs myself, good construction that can really hold ash. Flor De Las Antillas.

Have Davidoff’s changed a lot over the years? Rarely see anyone smoke non vintage Davidoff’s on here. I do like some of them though but can’t imagine the modern ones will be exactly great for long term ageing, maybe I’m wrong?

I admit that it’s only the second Cuban Davidoff I’ve smoked. As you probably know, Davidoff stopped producing in Cuba early 90’s and then went to DR.

This particular cigar was very good, mainly old tobacco but that’s something I like more and more.

The new non-cuban Davidoff however, I haven’t smoked any, so I have no idea about their ageing potential, maybe another member can assist further to this question?

Can't go wrong with Boli's IMHO (although I'll confess I am biased!) good to see another photo of you Al, looking good Sir!
