Monte 4 (2010) really earthy strong flavours. I remember when I first started smoking and I read a few articles that warned after 5+ years cigars can lose their flavours. Utter balls; if stored right that’s clearly not true!
I love these. Can't leave them alone. I was lucky to get a few more from Dean a wee while ago. Shame they came out in the UK instead of.....erm.....basically anywhere else in the world lol
Had a rather special day today, caught my first fish of the season, nice jack see UKCF Angler's thread.
Celebrated with bezzy herf buddy Zowie, suitably distance in my garage. We are allowed one visitor.
I had a 1960's Clear Havana Whiff, whilst fishing.
After a starter of champagnes pate on French stick, I continued our 5yr tradition of opening a new box of cigars, every time I smoke with Zowie, with a VR Short Robina 2014. This would out to be unfortunate placing, which didn't appear obvious until our second smoke. Anyway, this 🇦🇩 ER is a very fine & impressive smoke. In a minutos format, I thought it would be a, suitable first smoke with just a coffee. The flav, for such a small 6yo smoke, was full on & the smoke produced was enough to make smoke signals.
We had a bowl of chicken & veg soup & then we moved on to a pair of Punch Sir John's 2012, that Zowie had gifted me, on seperate yrs & I thought it time to burn them. A decent Punch but we both agreed, we should have started with them, as they paled in comparison with the VR.
A couple of slices of 🍒 & 🍏 tart & we light up our last smoke. I had kept this final pair of a cab of 1970's 50Boli CX, to share with Zowie, as we had smoked tbe first pair together.
As that was some yrs, ago, I wondered if these would be as seriously impressive as others from the cab. No worries, an amazing 99pts were awarded & a perfect match for Tullamore Dew 55%. For some reason, having trouble uploading pics, will try again later.
