Exploded like an Acme stick of dynamite a short while after splitting. Unsmokable

No idea but every section I tried to smoke became like a solid piece of coal. Expanded ash just burst the wrapper and binder open. Cut the end off each time it did it but the same happened again and again till I gave up.

I've noticed this hard ash thing a few times. Sometimes you can just torch it and eventually tap it off and it's ok after that. Never had it throughout a cigar. Had it on an old LGC mdo4 recently.

What is this rock hard ash thing?
