Nice taste but the draw is a bit loose. Would I be better with a punch/V cutLast edited by Cigar_Addict; 07-05-2024, 05:20 PM.

I find a few NC can be "loose" but I wonder if smoking CC gets you used to sucking a golf ball through a garden hose...

Generous friend indeed. I was lucky enough to be gifted on too, I'll be keeping it for a few yrs. It's job in the meantime is to look glam in my humi!Originally posted by mcdee View PostA friend very generously brought round some RyJ Cupidos for us to sample tonight.

I quite fancy the Cupidos but the price is nuts. Even in Spain, they're €1440 a box. Waaaay too much especially on the back of the recent-ish Serie d'Oro in similar boxes and with similar bands. The Cupidos doesn't look alll that different and at that price I'd want them to look spectacular.Originally posted by mcdee View PostA friend very generously brought round some RyJ Cupidos for us to sample tonight.
I bet they smoked brilliantly though!

I'd not say no to trying a stick, but to me the RyJ blend is just not compelling enough to justify that extra luxury cost. I do enjoy a RyJ, but in the same way I enjoy Stella - I know what I'm getting and I'm not expecting anything more!Originally posted by Stevieboy View PostI quite fancy the Cupidos but the price is nuts. I tend to go for smallest punch I can get away with - failing that I use these cigar scissors to remove tiniest sliver of cap I canOriginally posted by Cigar_Addict View PostPlasencia Cosecha 149

Are they that good that they can nick away just a sliver? Interested to buy if so. Where did you get them from?Originally posted by Vitola View PostI tend to go for smallest punch I can get away with - failing that I use these cigar scissors to remove tiniest sliver of cap I can

You literally can graze the cap with them once you realise the main cutting force comes from the straight edge. I think this was a branded Bond Roberts one. They are from Italy, Fox Cigar CuttersOriginally posted by Stevieboy View PostAre they that good that they can nick away just a sliver? Interested to buy if so. Where did you get them from?
