Double Lanceros are not part of the usual Habanos portfolio and never was. A few examples exist of DL's rolled for private customers such as the Cohiba DL made for Udey Hussein of Iraq.
Following Cuban entrepreneur roller Alex (Alexander Glez) rolling of the so called MJ23 for Michael Jordan some years back there's been a craving for those and for DL's and even XL DL's.
I've had a few of these from different rollers, but there's nothing in smoking a very long cigar just for the fun of it or to impress your surroundings if it's not well rolled or if it contains mediocre random leaf.
THIS one is an absolutely exquisitely rolled DL - near perfect, 5 years old but still a random blend of what was available on the day I guess. Therefore it lacks the finesse of a carefully selected blend of well fermented leaf and is therefore still only “good” where it could have been a world class cigar.
But hey what can you expect from 12 USD? - and it beats any NC I've ever tried 😎
