  • Your best cigar this month: August 2025

I’d like to try introducing a new type of reoccurring thread where we all can summarise the best smoke we’ve had each month (moderators free to move it if you think this is the wrong place).

for me it has been this QdO No. 50 just superb!

Interested to see what others rate their top cigar in August, a few days to go but for me I don’t think this can be beaten by another smoke.

It's annoying when it is. But this 2011 Hoyo was the best performer for me. Quite mild start but built to a medium and had some nice dried fruit notes building.

I think I may finally have this CAD under control...

For me August was not as smoke filled as perhaps anticipated. But the standout cigar would have to be the Trinidad Fundadores.... I think my all time favourite, closely run by Cohiba Siglo VI.

I have my bucket list cohiba lancero still to try, so who know that may well take the top spot.

A close second in the month of August has to be the JL RE France that I got in a trade from Deano - superb cigar.

This '14 Punch DC was unreal, don't think I could fault it.

I've had a few good cigars this month.

The 2 that come to mind are a 2018 or 19 Choix Supreme and a 2019 Wide Churchill which changed my mind as I was considering selling the remainder of the box.

Great idea a for a new regular thread but let's wait until the end of the month to post, still plenty of time to smoke a cracker before midnight on the 31st.

If we back track to July, my best was a 1970's Monte No1, gift & smoked at the Guildford herf.
