Hello from Athens-Greece, today we have clouds and light rain with 68'F here.
The background is from the battle of Thermopylae 480 BC and shows what the Spartans were like at that time. The one with the horizontal crest on his helmet is King Leonidas, otherwise he was dressed like the other soldiers and fought in the front line like them. Those standing on either side of him are his bodyguards, wearing a laurel wreath because they are Olympians.The symbol and colors on Leonidas' shield were later copied by other countries (like many things from ancient Greece).
