Now that i returned home the schedule is: eat pizza, clean and apply a special cream in on of my leather jackets, light lubrication of the zipper, then a modification of a Kompoloi and a nap.

Celebrating my 1st anniversary of my retirement. Last year I agreed to work my last Christmas & New Year, rather than retirement before & leave my colleagues in the lurch (I was due to do it) & of course d I d 3 days extra due to typical January weather.
1st trick is to get to retire.

2nd trick is to survive the first year of retirement, so many don't. Many have no other interests than work. What with travel, fishing, the gym & of course fine smokes, hasn't been a problem for me.

3rd trick, which I have ever planned for the last 20yrs, is to ensure I had sufficient cigars & fishing tackle so no big purchases needed as a pensioner, managed that. But for a reason my wife can't understand, I confess to still buying some of each (Stevieboy & Deano - your bad influences!).

Hoping for better health this coming year & to reach my target of fishing x3 per week, even if that's just mornings.

Today a special cigar, a 2003/4 Sig VI, gifted by Ade UK, vack in Club Havaba days. Robusto & Big Barney will remember him 😉 with coffee & a drama of Balvenie, a bottle my company kindly gave me on my retirement.

Put the heater on for 10mins, made coffee indoors & a welcoming site on return of the Boli lounge, as the temps dip to zero again.
