My sincere condolences. I lost my father 20yrs ago & after the funeral I smoked a cigar INSIDE the local pub, as I remembered him. He was a non-smoking, teetotaler. He didn't fish & served in the RAF so we didn't have a lot in common but he was a generous & loving father, who never raised a hand to me. He was a great influence & of course we still miss him. Sad he never got to enjoy his retirement as he had cancer, which he bore bravely.

Take your time to grieve, losing a parent is a hole you can never fill but just cherish the good memories & try to be the best part of him.
