That ashtray looks like it has an interesting backstory, I inherited one that looks similar, without the coin decoration.

Hi Joe,
Yes it's known as 'Trench Art', post Falkland's war. Made from a shell that was fired during the conflict, with coins pre-82 added to centre & around the edge. It was a gift but sadly I can't remember who gave it to me, if it was from a member on here, please forgive my memory & remind me of your generosity.
