It find it interesting to hear your thoughts on the 2001 Cohiba Piramide. As you may recall, it was made during a time when Cuba was rusing its puros to market to get in on the Cigar Boom. They were pretty bad back then. So would you agree that the years have been kind to your fine puro?

I didn't know that they were 'rusing' a cigar boom at time time with these cigars, though they are great for me. I did know that they only went through two stages of fermentations, instead of 3 like all other cohibas. I was actually quite worried that it might affect the taste, but by surprise, they were excellent! To be honest, when I lighted them, for the first 2~3cm tasted like paper, then all the sudden I smelled chocolate, very floral and the typical Cohiba taste of beans & much more complex for the rest of the part Love it!

Not a fan of the 2001 LE version TJ - I bought a box of 25 a few years ago, smoked 3 or 4 then sold most of them...very, very harsh and bitter. Really didn't like them and I was hugely pissed off at paying such a premium for them. At least I got my money back I kept 5 back and smoked one at the end of last year and still shite
