Well this was an excellent event in the end. As much wine as you wanted in the couple of hours you were there and of course the mystery cigar!
Chatting with a few other people at the event nobody could really tell what the cigar was but everyone I spoke with agreed that it was an excellent smoke, lots of different flavours and subtle complexities - a small amount of spice, chocolate and vanilla. I certainly enjoyed mine and would definitely smoke more of the same.
Nobody correctly guessed the cigar in the end, and it was a........
Montecristo Open Regata!!!!
Much maligned it may be, but this is now on my ever growing 'must get a box' list
