                  • Public transport is not my first choice chaps, there's germs on them and the smallfolk are known to be generally unwashed, its a proven hazard. The only reason I'm making this exception is to see you fine gents. If I wasn't planning in enjoying a drink I'd drive and park up at 1a. Where's the driver when you need him???

Jeez, i don't have either and I'm not sure what the second is. I guess I'm not traveling far if I ever go back to London.

                        • Here are a few Bank Holiday facts!

Our shop at 1a St. James's is in the shadow of St James's Palace.

Built largely between 1531 and 1536 (for Henry VIII) St. James's Palace was the residence of every King and Queen for over 300 years. Since the accession of Queen Victoria in 1837, the Sovereign has lived at Buckingham Palace.

Our shop was the site of Henry VIII's 'tennis' court.

The shop itself was formerly 'The Cocoa Tree Club' - one of the most infamous gaming houses of the Seventeenth Century.

Directly behind the shop (Pickering Place) is the site of the last duel by sword fight in England.

There are nine retail shops in St. James's that are over 100 years old - Locke (Hats) and Berry Brothers are the oldest, from the 1600's.

Our shop is from 1907 and was the original home of Rothmans cigarettes (Rothmans of Pall Mall).

St. James's Street had the UK's first pedestrian crossing - too many people stumbling out of the Gentleman's clubs were been knocked down by horse and carriage.
I'm sure there are greater things in life than a fine cigar ........... but right now I can't think what they might be.

                          • Robert did you say that you have some parking? I seem to remember you mentioned something way back when you first announced this event.

Very close by. There will be ample parking in St. James's Square and this is only two or three minutes walk away. There are a few parking spaces near the shop - you can drive past on the way to St James's Square
