I'd suggest The Guildford Tup in Chertsey Street, Guildford ( www.theguildfordtup.com ). Big beer garden at the back, lots of tables (reservable) - including some under gazebos - parking nearby, good beer.

In hindsight, I think that we maybe upset a few of the regulars by taking 'their' seats as there were 3 or 4 guys hanging around who as soon as we got up to leave took our places. I wonder now if they made an issue of it, as if it really was a problem they could have turned the fire pit off, waited a few minutes before removing the butt's.

Not been in there but very handy to several carparks. As those who have signed up drove to Godalming perhaps being close to public transport is less of an issue. If anyone does want to arrive by train and can't make it up North Street, I'd be happy to pick them up from the station.
