Harpenden is not that far, just the other side of St Albans and a bit south of Luton. Plenty of hotels and hostilries in the area.

Understood but I would expect most attendees would have to stay over, if staying into the evening, as did most when it was held at Mill Hill. I have found plenty of accommodation in the area for ?50 a room for the Sat night, share a room & have a smoke after breakfast before departing. Still a long way ahead to commit but the more that come, the better & more memorable the event will be. Martyn certainly knows how to throw a grand herf!

Its not the distance Simon. People who live South of London have to get into the centre first to get a train North and may not be able to get back if they don't want to stay. That's why I drive most places, the roads go around London whilst the railways don't.

A little far? Last time we had members from Aberdeen & myself from Belgium, sure if we can make it, others could cope with 25mins from St Pan on Thames-link to Harpenden & a 3 min taxi drive. So as long as I am off shift I'll be there Martyn, Silver Cup look fine.

I left the golf club on the 12th November I am now at another Hotel and golf club Shendish Manor
