          • Nice venue, unlimited Netspresso (brown and green capsules), HD TV and you can watch the world go by. Had a Dunhill corona, really not bad. Med-full bodied, good burn, initially a lot of spice, a little RA like, fairly creamy. One of the better NC's I have had.

            • Very enjoyable couple of hours.....

excellent company, nice venue..... ok coffee.... I think Panto's first cup was a little weak (he may chime in on that one! )

Leather chairs comfy, and the colour of them is begging to be modified by regular (and probably quite liberal) application of a slightly more grey hue
              .....

smoked my very first NC (yes really!); Oliva Serie V.... pleasant enough, but certainly didn't blow me away.

(started well, but I found I enjoyed it less as it went on; the opposite of my usual experience with cubans)

I think Nic like his more though. Next time, I'll try one of the Dunhills.

              • Panto (or Grey Crotch as he shall henceforth be known!) needs to understand that you can only get 4 cups of coffee out of each leetle cartridge.

The Oliva Series V was pleasant enough but when I go back I will return to the Dunhill Corona which I enjoyed more.

                • in my defence i was there first and when I asked for a demo of the machine the young lady working there failed to even mention the machine used pods, then when she did mention the pods she couldnt make her mind up how many cups you can actually get out of one! through my own experimentation Im going for one pod = one cup

                  • I think Lord Greycrotch has a better ring.

                    • Sorry to bring an old thread alive again but does anyone know what this place was actually called or do they have a website ?

I popped in once out of curiosity in the summer, whilst JJ was closed for lunch and that humidor was bare.... there were a few boxes out with only 3-4 cigars in each! but they may have kept the goods hidden from poor ol' me

Hey JJYH, sorry did see your question but got distracted.

It's called No 1 St James's Street and it's a very very long story but there is no web site.

There are more cigars in there now and it's still one of the most stylish places in London to smoke a cigar.

                              • The 'no smoking' one assumes is for the outside but funny never the less.
