Indeed, excellent night, and typically great company. I tried three new cigars from my arrival, a La Invicta PC (meh), a 2002 Party Short (winner) and the Monte Sublime (a really nice cigar - awesome ash, draw was a little too tight towards the end though).

Reviews for the first two due (once I've got my notebook back from JJ Fox... - I did remember my case though).

PS. I really should say no in future when people point cameras at me... it never turns out well.

        A whistle?
"In Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love, they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock!"

A great evening: I smoked an aged Partagas SdC no. 3 and a Punch Serie D'Oro No.1 RE and enjoyed them both. The Berry Bros house red that they have at these events matches with pretty much everything. The snacks were nothing to write home about; I think they are primarily there to stop people collapsing.

The evening was well organised: Fox's staff made sure that everyone was well looked after. Hunters and Frankau were represented by Jemma and Jimmy. Jemma has the unique ability to make me feel like she has all the time in the world and yet still manages to get round to everyone. Jimmy gave a short talk on the Limited Edition concept. He has an obvious gift for public speaking with honesty and charisma.

Afterwards we went on to the new smoking terrace at Duke's Hotel. None of us knew how to find it and had to laugh when we found how ridiculously close it is!

You weren't born within the sound of Bow bells?

At least Deano wasn't wearing his sandals!

How was it once you'd found it? Probably just as well that I bailed at the last minute, I could definitely have seen me missing the train otherwise...

It's very nice: completely covered (so no rain got through) and fairly intimate with seating for about ten people. They normally insist that you buy cigars from them but waived that for us because we are 'family'. The Martinis were top notch!

Wish I'd gone to this instead of the washed-out Cigar Cruise...

                        Cheers, HabanoSy

                            Yeh...

We bailed very early doors as Havana House in our opinion had hired a totally inadequate boat for the weather...!?!

                            Cheers, HabanoSy
