It was rather lovely spot not too much sunshine, practically shade all the way through . Perfect for the cigar and pint.

At the herf, a rather nice old Monte from Simon Bolivar and a random EP Carillo New wave Connecticut Divino I found in my loose humidor that was actually very good.

Great to meet up again. Monte Especiales No2 from 2006 to start, later a very generous gift of a 70's from Otto.

Draw perfect (as you'd expect with this age), draw perfect, lit easily, ash held on well, flavoursome from the start, best 1st 1/3 for me, well matured Monte profile, slightly less so by the final 1/3, put it down at 1.5". Very enjoyable smoke indeed, many thanks Otto!

Otto and I were quite surprised as we put them down when our fingers burned!
