  • C.Gars Cigar party Boisdale.

Sorry guys dont think too many pics were taken evryone was too busy enjoying themselves. Firstly i'd like to thank Mitch of C.Gars for a superb evening from start to finish and his staff along with Boisdale staff were magnificent.
Boisdale's are only a few yards down from the Canary wharf DLR. Easy access.
On arrival we were greeted by Mitch and his team and given our goody back containing San Cristobel , Vegas Robaina cigars from the Orchant selection also a pack of Monte C'S a minature bottle of whisky and loads of goodies, we were shown around this stunning venue which is built on two levels then out onto the balcony overlooking Cabot square. I really enjoyed the San C a great afternoon smoke in the sunshine.
Canopes were served inc oysters and Caviar, accompanied with Moscow Mules Champers and Daquiri.
We met Derren DB USAF there Steph,Monkey Jimmeh, Trev,Pete,Deano and his lovely girlfriend to name a few, we were shown to the Library[indoor smoking lounge] and walk in humidor ,yet to be stocked, then to our tables where a first class jazz/ soul band played. The menu was excellent without too much detail the Aged fillet of Aberdeenshire beef was to die for our glasses were never empty, the only down side was i had to leave to catch the last train. This has to be one of the finest herf venues anywhere, i definitely will be revisiting many times not just to herf but enjoy the restaurant and the ambience.
Boisdale have chosen this location very well the decor is traditional with tartan carpets red wall covering with a huge collection of Cuban pictures to make the cigar smoker feel at home, i feel at Boisdale if you are not a cigar smoker you will be urged to try one. Anyway sorry for the guys who couldnt make it this was a great evening. Thanks again Mitch and Boisdale.

Great venue, very bold decision to invest in the current climate. Could well be a huge success given the local client?le.

Very nice evening, new friends and old. The cabaret in the library (sampling room) was quite a sight to behold. Good smokes, great beef and the conspiricy of the bass players (not you Drew ....I think ).

This will be a stunning venue and a very brave decision to host a couple of hundred people pre-opening.

Only a couple of pics from me (I know there are more out there) ...NB you may notice by far the biggest Whiskey bar I have ever seen ...'shelf's' anyone?

Absolutely wonderful night, plied with Beluga caviar, oysters, canop?es, champagne and 'The Boisdale Special' cocktails on arrival, accompanied by a San Cristobal (gordito?), all taken on the smoking terrace overlooking Canary Wharf's Cabot square at sunset. Then upstairs to the dining room where we indulged in a starter of smoked salmon terrine, followed by beef, a selection of cheeses and port then coffee and petit fors. Everyone moved back to the terrace to enjoy an additional cigar, either a selecci?n orchant ERDM, a Vegas Robaina or a Bolivar Royal Corona. The most lavish and hedonistic night imaginable, still reeling from the opulence if I'm being honest! Many, many thanks.

I think I know that place you had that beer in (1st pic), spent quite a bit of time sitting there in the past.

Trev's looking well... good to see Simon C too...

                    keep pics coming guys!

Nice little article that. Just to satisfy my curiosity, can anyone point me to a site that has the rules for these cigar terraces ie what percentage of enclosing wall/roof is permitted etc

And does anyone know if the rules are same up here in Scotland?
