Big thanks to Harrison and Simmonds and Tor for hosting this event, The Saint Luis Rey Cigar was top class, the flavour was smooth, creamy and very pleasant throughout, burned true with beautiful grey ash, a big plus was that i found no bittterness in the last 3rd, over 1 and a half hours smoking time for myself although everyone else was quicker.

It was great to spend time with other Aficianado's, makes smoking alone seem quite drab, heres to the next time.

Being such a slow old tart i did not manage to smoke the Nub, everyone else looked like they were enjoying,

        Completely agree.

Thanks to everyone for making a great herf last night and to Harrison & Simmonds for hosting. Having a Saint Luis Rey and NUB made for a good contrast of New World and traditional. We had a few people new to NUB last night - Will a cigar that length really last over an hour? Oh yes!

I'm sure there are greater things in life than a fine cigar ........... but right now I can't think what they might be.

Had a great time at this event yesterday evening, excellent smokes and entertaining company. The SLR Regios was a very nice cigar indeed, and I was pleasantly surprised by the Nub as I'd never tried one before and thoroughly enjoyed it - definitely one I would have again.

Thanks to everyone involved in setting this up - an absolute bargain of an evening for a tenner

This is how it ALL starts.
Beware... slippery slope and all that.

Save yourself, while there's still time... banish the memory.. with a 'Good-Cuban'!

Cat, do not fear, this was only the 2nd NC ever for me, and my humi is full to the brim with Cubans and Cubans alone. Ok I'll admit it, I enjoyed the Nub, but I'm pretty sure when push comes to shove next time I 'invest' in some new smokes, the lure of fine Havanas will win through......

The Nub was quite nice though......
