Hello everyone.

The reason i have joined this forum is that i am new to cigar smoking (only tried two cigars to date, both of which were at a wedding) and i am keen to learn more about the hobby, is it right to call it a hobby?

Well, I guess so...if you consider drinking a hobby and smoking fags a sport.
