- A Montecristo No 2 is a nice treat, but the budget doesn't often allow though. Casa Toranos do me but I'm experimenting whenever I can.

- I wish, I'm currently out of work due to "outsourcing and off-shoring", but a new job is in the pipeline and with it the chance to re-stock (both whisky and cigars are running low now).

Welcome to the forum chum. Found any nice surprises in your cigar experiences so far?

- Yes and no. I'm still very much a noobie so still learning what I like. Nice surpise - some of the cheaper smokes are great. Nasty surprise - you can get duds, even among the more expensive lines. Although admittedly buying cheap may mean they haven't been properly stored, plus my own storage may be, errm, inconsistent? Again I'm still learning.

What's your favourite whisky match for cigars?

- It was a toss-up between Laphroaig Quarter-cask for the milder, smoother sticks, and Aberlour A'bunadh for anything more robust, but my Christmas box from my wife came early today - Bunnahabhain 12yo. I'll let you know how that fares...
