Despite my objections my wife insisted on giving our daughter horsemeat from 2rs old on the grounds it's so low in fat. I remember saying to my daughter when she was in her high chair, 'Grace, don't you know that's Black Beauty your eating?' 'Yes Papa but he's so tasty!' So I fixed that. When she was 7yo I gave her riding lessons for a year. After only 2/52 she said to her Belgian mother, 'We don't eat horses mama, horses are our friends.' Job done.

I must be a monster, I love Horses and rode them for years! I even helped out at a local saddlery for years. Still eat the buggers though!

I'm respectful of all animals though, kinda like the blue aliens from Avatar.... Only I don't pray to god after I kill something.... I thank nature instead, because I know the energy the dead animal has given up is continuing the ever revolving circle.

Are you millions of miles from New Jersey? I have family I need to visit there in the next couple years. I could split a two week visit... I have always wanted to scope Canada out with the thought of perhaps emigrating there once my Grandparents depart.

Sound good to me Marc, you could start by shooting some Canadian geese, you know those buggers that used to migrate & now stay here 12months a yr? It is legal to shoot them in the UK but not to sell them. Sure such a large goose would feed your family for quiet a while. Rabbits & pigeons need eating & if we all ate more of them then the crops would be better protected, no one wants to buy game anymore unless it's plucked/skinned & portioned in polystyrene packaging. The Belgians will eat a horse but in general turn their noses up at small game & offal.

Jersey? absolutely not!
less, the reason is a tad mournful... but the chance would be wicked! . a flight from New Jersey to Toronto would be around $160. In the next few years, that should be 100 quid or so. You could always take the 6 hour bus that would cost MAXIMUM 50 bucks for a one way trip (30 quid?)

Never in any competitions, I feel its just not long enough. Freestyle is for the long beards, plus its a lot of work and I just don't have the patience for it
