    Hello and Welcome Tom.
I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!'

    The Dawg.

      Welcome aboard Monkey!

      Bigger is always better, therefore... 300 > 200 > 50 > 25

Dave offers good advice regarding Flor de Cano and Jose L Piedra as good budget Cubans. Always remember though, there are budget Cubans and then their are Guantanamos... (sorry, Guantanameras...) Never try the latter.

Haha I'm afraid not! Having said that, my labret piercing used to be stretched to 16mm, so I could probably force it through I could get various cigars through my ears and nasal septum etc. Might be a more useful way of using up the Guantanameros Simon mentioned

TJ, I have no piercings on my tongue any more, so never fear!

Chris, I'm glad to see another with stretched lobes! I did wonder if it would be something I shouldn't mention, but hey its me and I'm introducing myself

Hello other fellow monkey! Also, Simon, I have seen you lot mention the Guantanameras a few times. Think I'll stay well clear!

Thanks for the kind welcome guys. My input on the forum will be very limited for the time being, until I settle into this new world

Hi Monkey, welcome to the forum, Good Choice on the Humidor, keep an eye out in the for sale section, the members with large collections are always willing to sell 5/10 of something to make room for something else, and it's normally a highly rated smoke, it's better to try a few of each, that way you can pair it with different drink's etc. works out cheaper in the end, I remember buying single's in london for years, as time went buy I started to like most of them, you start to pair them well and at the right time of day when your in the right mood etc......

Hi ACMCC Ah good point, I will definately keep an eye out there. I did just quickly look at the selling rules, and didn't find any restrictions for buyers. Is there any particular rules I should be aware of as a buyer, post counts etc? I don't want to tread on toes

The beverages thing is interesting. I'm quite limited you see, as I personally am not much of a drinker. I tend to enjoy strong, fresh coffee with my cigars, though have also occasionally chosen strong tea. I have been enjoying fresh coffee for many years now, wont touch instant. Have been through caffiene addiction and withdrawal etc haha. That wasn't pleasant.

Generally the only alcoholic drinks I choose are ales. Just about anything from Wychwood or Badger and I'm a happy boy. Occasionally I will join my parents for a glass of wine, which I generally enjoy, but have very little knowledge off (would like to expand). After dinners, I am a port man

you just need a few posts to pm... coffee is great with cigars and you can get a great range, never been a drinker of Ales so would not know what works there, I'm going to start trying a few more Cuban rums and rare ports I think!... you can just about find the right cigar for most drinks...

Haha! I'll carry a spray bottle of water in case he bites

I'm looking at that humidor I linked earlier, and am tempted to just buy it now. Would be mighty irresponsible of me. I would've been fine, but my sister's civil partnership is this month which has cost me the best part of ?500!

Meh, win some, lose some. Still a bloody good price if it turns out to be as nice as reviews from you lot would suggest Take me ages to fill it though

DEFINATELY going to take me a while to fill it now:

Here's an example of the good customer service i've read about from adrian. He emailed me to let me know that the 200 count humidor is out of stock but said he was happy to send the 7 draw one for same price :-) nice guy :-)

OT :Currently on my shift and a deer just crept up on me haha. Frightened the life out of me. Very pretty though.

Tonight i have enjoyed an Indian Tabak Cameroon Legend. Quite laid back.

PS. Must apologise, I can't agree about Badger ales... all far to floral or fruity for my tastes. A good hoppy IPA or a roasty mild is more my cup of tea (or beer...)
