  • New from Winchester!

    Hello one and all.

    Greetings from sunny winchester.

I have smoked the odd cigar over he years but my disorder started on a trip to Miami a few months ago...
MLW was going to be taking a few hours to get ready so off I popped to the local lounge to
    Watch the masters.
I was welcomed and recommended a great small batch bourbon (1792) and a Perdomo 10th anniversary Robusto which I very much enjoyed.
So I picked up a few for from that marque and a pardon or two to bring home.

I since have been purchasing some beginner sticks and have so far been through
    Monte no.4
    Trini Reyes
    Partagas Short
    Punch punch
    Perdomo 12th anniversary champagne

    I sill haven the Tupperdore
    HU HC
    Hoyo Epicure no.1
    RyJ no.3
    And duplicates of the above

The Partagas short has been my favourite so far but I think they have all been a bit young. The Perdomo was great and I?m surprised they are not more available over here.

Any other suggest stations welcome including NCs as I am going to Vegas I?m a few weeks so would like to stock up.

One question - does anyone have a list of the marque abbreviations people use and I find myself constantly googling when people say what they are smoking!

All the best and looking forward to posting a bit more!

Good morning Greg and welcome to the forum. If you're prepared to dig there is a thread about abbreviations somewhere on here. Have you seen the post about a herf in Guildford on 9 June? You could make some contacts there.

      Morning peejay,

I will have a dig, thanks.

I did see that but I will be in Vegas on the 9th! These bloody boring work trips getting in the way of things.

        Welcome to the forum Greg

They’re some great cigars you’ve picked already and it sounds like you’ve well and truly caught the bug, I’m going to guess you’ll have a cabinet and a couple of thousand sticks before the end of the year

Welcome. There's a few members in the Surrey / Hampshire area so hopefully another herf can be organised in the coming months.

Great thread but what on Earth is “Jas Sum Kral” I’ve done a quick search and it appears to be a NC brand but I’ve never once heard of it. Are they good/special in some way?

I have no idea. I think it was Rupert that suggested it's inclusion.

Not tried one myself but from what I've heard they're a hard to find and highly rated non Cuban cigar brand.

                              Done Right!

Now THAT?S what I call an introduction! Well done, chico and welcome to the boards.

Looks like you?re off to a fine start, based on the sticks you listed....well, with the exception of the Perdomo, maybe. Not that popular down mexicant way.
