They are small slim and short, machine made rather than hand made, made of short filler instead of long filler tobacco.

The tobacco is legit. Could be off cuts and leftover pieces.

They are not dry cured so will need a humidor.

Can't say I've tried many. I've tried a couple of different brands my friend had but I've no recollection what they were!

The Cohiba shorts tend to be well received, I have a pack that I got for free with a box purchase and to my taste they are ok. I have nothing to compare to though as it’s the only puritos I’ve smoked, perhaps compared to the others they are stand out.

In my experience so far the best small cigars are made by non Cuban companies so may be beyond your reach for a while. Camacho Machitos spring to mind if you see them anywhere.

I had a tin of these a long time ago, called Sweet Orient I think. The smell before lighting was devine, I don’t recall thinking much to the smoking experience though.

With some flavoured cigars like the La Aurora chocolate ones the flavour is only given off as aroma and you don't actually taste it. It makes a pleasant ambiance though.

I use the RYJ puritos at work they are quite a pleasant little smoke. I find them much nicer than any in the supermarket and there're cheaper than some.

Apparently the Montecristo Puritos are also ok but haven't yet tried them.

As el hombre sayz...the Cohiba Short is a decent small stick that delivers a nice puro flavor. The Coros always have a few packs available for those occassions when time is tight or you just feel like small stick.

Whenever I've asked them for the age of boxes, I've been told they can't say what the age will be due to how large their stock is, so it's pretty much luck of the draw. I found that odd to be honest. Have you had success in deciphering/choosing the age of a box prior to purchase, John? I don't plan on purchasing anything from the site again, but I'm still curious!

I've actually never bought a Cuban box from them, only the Opus box in June. I didn't realise they were that disorganised.
