• Hello from London

Hi all,

I'm a total cigar newbie so I'm hoping to get some guidance from the connoisseurs!

As a Christmas treat I visited a tobacconist and bought myself a hoyo de monterry epicure no2, loved it.

I have since ordered a humidor which I am now seasoning (I think thats the correct term?) and I intend on filling it with some good sticks over the next year.

Besides general contribution on the forums are there any other sources of info I can acquaint myself with?

I'm particularly interested in the effects of aging a good cigar, increasing its flavour etc.

Speak soon and Happy new year!

Welcome. You been reading the forum long?

You only bought one humidor? You should have planned better now you're here...

Which part of London are you in? There's a few folks dotted around.
.--
I think I may finally have this CAD under control...

Welcome. Looks like you found JJ Fox, which is a very good place to start your journey, and an Epi 2 is a good cigar to start with.

Welcome aboard...we have quite few members in London in here.

I might be jumping the gun...but your hygrometer looks like it should be in your box rather than out unless you were looking at your rooms readings.

I'm based in North London; Finsbury Park, would be good to know of others in the area.
moteyi it was indeed JJ Fox! Very helpful staff there, showed me a box of their grand Reservas, amazing selection.

Good question. I need to take a closer look. The back the hydrometer has contact with the interior of the humidor, the meter sits in a hole cut in the front.

O ok then that's correct....it just looked like it was stuck on the outside...but if it's goes in then that will be correct.
