Thanks all. This is a great site. I've just found the cigar bomb section. If I'm correct, trusted members send out samplers to eachother? Sounds brilliant! (none of my circle of friends actually smokes cigars)

Yeah the first time I went cigar hunting 'Mr. Higgins' was called down.
I'm assuming that's the guy with the moustache.
When you say the younger guy do you mean the guy who looks like Slash or the smartly dressed one? They all seem OK in my limited experience.

You found anywhere you're happy to smoke in Cardiff? We've had a couple of herfs at Tafarn but it's probably a bit chilly for there now. Old Arcade looks promising.

Ha ha, yeah, the "Slash" one! brilliant.

To be honest I've not yet ventured beyond the house for smoking my cigars. Had a couple whilst strolling round Cosmeston lakes but the wind is always an issue.

Forgive my ignorance.... what is a herf? like an extended cigar smoking session where everyone meets up?

Christ, that would give my girlfriend unlimited ammo. Not only would I own a oo-mid-or, but I would have a secret gang I smoked with.

        sounds good though!

I had a wander round there this summer with my lady and a PLPC. It was insanely hot that day. You over that side of the city then?

                PLPC?

Yeah, not far from Cosmeston. If you ever see a guy with a cigar and a manic dog that looks like a dwarf collie with legs that are too short that is me.

                    skyhigh's got it.
Goes well with sunny afternoons IMO.

I'll keep my eye out, but I think that was the first time I'd been since school! The lady likes beaches (Midlanders eh...) so we end up at the coast more often than not. If I saw someone with a proper cigar on the go I'd likely strike up a conversation anyway.
Especially if I like your dog.
