Welcome to the forum, where are you in Essex? I get back to visit family quite often in Clacton area and always take the fishing rods with me...sea fishing though

Ahh, Clacton's nice. I used to go crabbing there when I was a kid. I have done a bit of sea fishing on the Essex coast (it's the London Riviera, don'tcha know!) but i've never had a great deal of luck. I'm from Barking which is far less glamourous, but at least it's convenient!

Thanks for the warnings of the fakes in Mexico - I read a couple of the threads here and they have been very helpful. I will be staying in the Riviera Maya, but i'm sure I will be able to head into Cancun to find some establishments. To be honest, i'm quite interested in trying whatever the locals chuff on, something like the regional cuisine!
