    Hello all,

After a trip to Cuba last year I got into Cigars despite being a non-smoker. Was smoking Cohiba's whilst we were there as 'when in Rome...' but I bought some R&J Mille Fleurs home which were great and lasted us a few months despite not being in a humidor, the last few were a bit dry but they all smoked OK'ish but lacked flavour.

After a quick browse online I think I severely underestimated how cheap cigars were over there and wish I'd have grabbed some more boxes!!! Although I travel a bit with work and regularly pass thorough Dubai / Spain so hopefully some bargains can be had.

Anyway, I popped into my local Havana House (Stratford) this week and the helpful guy help me choose half-a-dozen New Worlds + a couple of Cubans:
    • Ashton Maduro No.20
    • Te-Amo WSS Honduran
    • Rocky Patel Hamlet Tabaquero
    • Juliany Reserva Especial
    • MC No.4
    • Partagas Series D
I've signed up to the CGarsLtd subscription and awaiting my first delivery today / tomorrow.

I have a few questions to ask re a humidor but will head to the dedicated forums for that

    Gav.

For anyone that cares hobbies include; Snooker, audio-visual, season ticket at WBA FC and pretty much anything Porsche.

Welcome, you'll find lots of help and information here. The walk-in humidors at Dubai airport are incredible by the way. Next time you are there factor in plenty of time to dig through the boxes, there always seems to be plenty of aged stuff and staff will happily open boxes to inspect

Welcome! I’m sure we can help with questions.

There’s certainly a difference between Cuba and here (that’s why we’re always thinking of our next trip there!) but it sounds like you travel a lot and Spain particularly is a fantastic country for picking up sticks due to government controlled prices and low taxes.

Sounds like you'll have plenty of opportunities to grow your collection while traveling for work.

Tottenham fan here, hopefully you'll be joining us in the Premiership again next season ????????????

Hopefully, as soon as the wold returns to 'normal'. Funnily enough I'm trying to re-arrange a trip to Singapore today via Dubai for some stocking-up.

Fingers crossed yes, poor result for you this week but another nail in coffin for the Villa

Hi Gav & welcome onboard! Starting in Cuba is a fav way to get into cigars, hard to replicate the same conditions at home but a sunny day in the garden, with rum & a Havana ain't a bad start.
