Yes, I do know that but above that they can question you, don't know if they would believe we are planning to move to the UK next year, with no documentation to say we had bought a house ect. I was hoping to get 400 over in Oct & 400 in Dec, that would be half straight away. Now Oct is canx (daughter coming to us instead), I'll try & get 800 over in Dec. Obviously daughter will get some to carry over as well!

Here's a frightening thought for you. I have been exiled in Belgium for the last 30yrs but MLW has finally agreed to move to the UK, to be near our daughter & my family. Trouble is I have just had a quote to bring my collection in could cost me over £7k in Customs duty - I'd even have to pay for the EMS ones I bought within the UK!
I'll be bringing our legal limit over every visit from now on, to reduce the final final & costs. I may sell a few rather than pay duty twice but I have bought my collection to last my retirement so don't really want to reduce it. Ah, first world problems...
It might sound crazy but if you compare the price with a Ferrari portofino or a lamborghini evo, this is very minimal. Some of my friends here got 500+ or 1000+ but they all begin to collect very early or inherited from their parents with the preembargo Cuban which is absolutely impossible to source here. I am just a late comer indeed!

I buy normally from trusted local shops (too many fakes from the web shops) and duties are included.

Hope you would be able to unite with your collection very soon. It’s very sad to leave them out of your sight.

If he’s smoking a couple boxes a month he’ll need that!

That is a terrifying bill Simon but I’m sure there’s plenty of us on here that would happily take a delivery of below the import limit and pass across when you’re here too! Should be able to get round that with a chunky postage bill but nothing close to 7k!
