  • I'm beginning to think lockdowns are just an excuse to smoke more cigars

Hello I'm Nigel from Bracknell, recently returned to the cigar world having had a forty year hiatus.
looking forward to gaining a better insight on this expensive hobby.
I also need some warmer clothes as I only smoke in the garden, I did think about building a shed but that would be money not spent on cigars, can't have it both ways.

Hi Nigel, Money spent on shelter ifs money not spent on cigars but if it enables you to enjoy them more then it's worth considering, especially as there are very limited opportunities in pub gardens with heaters ect this side fo Christmas. The cheapest solution, a fire pit, I have just bought one similar to this, but with a cooking grill over the top so you can BBQ at the same time! There are cheaper options, starting from the price of a decent Havana.

If you decide to keep smoking robustos or larger during the winter than the better shelter/ shed you can afford the better. When very cold, you won't appreciate the fine flav's of the cigar, even if you wear enough to keep warm. I smoke when pike fishing throughout the winter but I expect I wear more than you're likely too & chose strong, cheaper cigars so I am not 'wasting' my best smokes.

Welcome aboard. Sounds like you're in range for one of the Guildford herfs in better times.

Aye, you're delightful summer house has inspired me Vitola, I'll be having something similar (no doubt on more modest lines), when we move to the UK; which the wife has just suggested could be next yr!
