Awful American word, but simple definition:

'Herf: (Verb) to smoke a cigar in a group of cigar smokers. (Noun) a gathering of smokers in one location. The term “herf” was coined during the mid-1990's cigar boom. ... A herf can be held at a cigar store or lounge or a bar that permits smoking cigars. A herf can also be held at someone's home.'
