  • Hi everyone!

Hi all, though I would introduce myself.. name is Rob and I am from Norwich.

My cigar journey started just over 12 months ago.. I was all booked and ready to go to Cuba on 31/12/2020 then tier 4 lockdown hit but I went to local cigar shop and picked up a few cubans to smoke at home. Trying to cast my mind back now, I think I got a tubed Punch coronations, tubed H Upmann coronas major and a Quinteros favourito - first one I smoked was the Quinteros and actually enjoyed it, needless to say I was far more impressed with the other 2.

Since then I have been pretty much a 1 week smoker, occasionally 2 and usually accompanied by a fire in the fire pit outside.

From there I tried a variety of cheapish new world cigars, few larger vitolas but nothing as nice as the cubans. Occasionally splashed out on cubans, mostly just different petite coronas but did enjoy a punch punch and montecristo no. 2

Went to Greece last july and ended up coming back with a 25 box of H Upmann majestics, 25 box of R&J petitite coronations en cedro, a 10 box of Partagas Mille Fluers as well as a nice selection of single cigars which I still have including a Ramon Allones 2019 special edition. Have only smoked Cubans since last July.

Welcome to the journey. Good start there. Glad to hear you're managing to keep going through the cold months of winter! Today was my first cigar in what feels like ages.

Keep trying. Travel buying is unfortunately the way to go.

      What's your storage situation like?

Hello and welcome to the forum

Nice selection you have! On the Ramon A I assume it’s the No 2 Limitada? If so, give it some time before lighting it up. Blazed one the other day and whilst delicious, regretted not leaving it for another year.

I currently have about 15 in a smallish beginners humidor.. got a cheap humidifier in there (with water retaining gel in it) but also a few boveda 70% pouches in there. I also have a large boveda 1 year zip lock bag with about 20 in. Hope to bring 100 back between me and the Mrs in April so looking for something a bit bigger and better really.

Well you can't not recommend a 12L lock n lock for starters. Fits 5 or 6 boxes and seals air tight until you decide!
